St Vincent Sharks

Biography

Built around the college’s growing Esports programme, the Sharks bring together students who share a passion for competitive gaming, teamwork and developing skills within the rapidly growing Esports industry. The team provides students with the opportunity to compete against other colleges, schools and organisations while representing St Vincent College both locally and nationally.

The Sharks compete across a range of competitive titles, including Rocket League, EA SPORTS FC, Overwatch, Apex Legends, Formula 1 and League of Legends, giving students the opportunity to specialise in the games they enjoy while developing transferable skills such as communication, leadership, strategy, problem-solving and teamwork.

Competition is only one part of what makes the Sharks. The team is built around teamwork, respect, inclusion and personal development, creating an environment where students of different abilities and backgrounds can participate and develop their confidence. Whether students are experienced competitive players or completely new to Esports, the Sharks aim to provide opportunities for everyone to get involved.

Based at St Vincent College, the Sharks are also part of a wider Esports community, working with organisations and partners across the local area and the UK. Through competitions, events, enrichment activities and industry opportunities, students can experience the different sides of Esports beyond simply playing games.

From the classroom to the competition arena, the St Vincent Sharks are proud to represent their college, support one another and compete with the aim of becoming one of the leading college Esports teams in the region.
