2. Match Rules
2.1. Match Setup and Champion Select
2.1.1. All matches are to be played on the European West (EUW) server.
2.1.2. Players must use the League of Legends account associated to their British Esports Student Champs account. If an account is being used that isn't on the main roster, the opposing team should submit a support ticket before the game begins and raise it to an admin ASAP. Do not wait until after the game has concluded. If this account information is not up to date it will lead to a rule strike (please see section 2.6 or 3.6 in General Rules for more information on Rule Strikes based on Nationals or Open).
2.1.2.1. Players’ League of Legends account must abide by the rules in 1.1.1.3.
2.1.2.1.1. On specific occasions if the account is unable to access tournament draft, then the team must contact an admin who can assist with using a third party website, e.g. prodraft.com, to create a similar process. In this event, both teams must agree to use this other process. If a mutual agreement is not made, then the team with ineligible accounts will forfeit. In this event, games cannot be paused due to use of a different game mode.
2.1.3. The school/college shown on the left of the match page is the “home” team and should host the lobby.
2.1.4. If tournament codes are provided they should be used by all players. If, for some reason tournament codes are not available, either team may host the match and the match name and password should then be given to opposing team. Alternatively, add the captain of the opposing team and invite them to the lobby. If you would like help with the lobby set up, speak to an admin.
2.1.4.1. Game settings
The game mode tournament draft must be used for all matches.
2.1.4.1.1. If this game mode is unable to be used, see 2.1.2.1.1. In this event, games cannot be paused due to use of a different game mode.

2.1.4.5. All champion skins and chromas are banned. All ward skins and emotes are allowed.
2.1.5. For a series that is longer than best of 1 (e.g. best of 3, 5, etc.), teams will swap sides after each map.
2.1.6. Once both teams have joined the lobby and stated they are ready, the lobby leader (denoted by gold medal symbol) may begin Champion Select
2.1.7. New champions may not be used until they have been available in Ranked and for purchase for at least two weeks. Champions which have been majorly reworked may not be used until a week has passed since patch date.
2.1.8. If a player does not own a specific champion then they must pick a placeholder champion. In the event a team wishes to use a placeholder champion they must: Inform the opposing team captain and the casters before the champion is locked in by messaging the opposing captain. After champion select finishes, the game must be remade in Tournament Draft with the same champions selected except for the placeholder.
2.1.9. Smurf accounts are reportable, and will be investigated on a case-by-case basis. For any concerns, please reach out to an admin, or raise a support request, with your evidence.
2.1.10. League of Legends OPEN is BO1 during regular season.
2.2. Tiebreakers
2.2.1. If teams are tied on points (win-loss) on the overall scoreboard at the end of Swiss/Group Stage, then ranking is determined by previous head-to-head, or fastest game time.
2.2.2. If unable to determine a leader in the tied teams with the above method, or due to a lack of evidence regarding game time, tiebreakers will be played.
2.3. Casting of Games
2.3.1 Champs matches can only be streamed if agreed by both teams. Those wishing to stream should reach out to the opposing staff leader and team ahead of the match to gain permission. If one of the teams in a fixture does not agree to be streamed, then the match must not be streamed.
