Overwatch 2 Student WIE Spring Cup

The Student Champs are open to all secondary schools, Further Education (FE) Colleges and Alternative Provision (AP) schools in the UK and are PC-based. Students must be aged 12+ to participate.

Overwatch 2 (PEGI 12+) is a vibrant first-person shooter. Teams of 5 pick a variety of unique heroes to achieve different map objectives, such as escort the payload and control the point.

Tournament Eligibility

This division has a requirement of 60% female or marginalised gender participation, meaning that a minimum of three players on the roster must identify as female or a marginalised gender.

This tournament works upon a trust-based system - each staff member is responsible for ensuring the team meets the requirements (see above). We do recommend teams fill in information regarding gender on the roster when signing up to this tournament, alongside sharing pronouns with admin/BEF staff.


Tournament Format
This division will follow Student Champs in the sense that it has two distinct seasons. The Winter Season and the Spring Season. The format is the same for each.

The group stage format is outlined below:

  • 16 teams
  • Best of 5 
  • 2 groups of 6
  • Top 4 from each group go through

The playoffs will be a Bo5 single elimination bracket. Bo7 Finals TBC.
