1. Player and Team Eligibility
1.1. Team eligibility
1.1.1. Each team must have a designated Leader that satisfies the following conditions:
1.1.1.1. A registered staff member at the Institution that the team represents.
1.1.1.2. Able to act as representative and point of contact for British Esports.
1.1.1.3. Able to supervise all online interaction between Players at that Institution, even if remotely. This can include before and after matches, as well as during.
1.1.1.4 Institution must be a Further Education College.
1.1.2. A team must consist of 4 players and must be from the named Institution.
1.1.2.1 If you require emergency subs, these should be reported to an admin via support ticket no later than 1 hour before start time.
1.1.3 A player must be aged 16+.
1.1.4. Rosters will be locked ahead of the first game of the season.
1.1.4.1. Any roster changes must be reported via Support Ticket for an admin to review.
1.2 Roster Requirements and Substitutions
1.2.1 Institutions can enter as many teams (individuals) as they please.
1.2.2 Due to the title being a 4 player teams, there will be limited roster changes unless there are exceptional circumstances. Please notify a member of Champs staff if you need to change a player on the roster.
1.2.3 Individuals can compete in the cups as well as the Open and National titles, aside from Women in Esports’ Cups. Individuals can not play more than one title per day, even when a reschedule must occur.
2. Match Rules
2.1 Match Setup
2.1.1. All matches must be played on the European server.
2.1.2. Match lobby will open at 4pm on Tuesdays, and close at 4:20pm.
2.1.2.1 Reschedules for the PUBG Mobile tournament are not possible. If a team misses the start time and is considered a no show, then they miss the chance to gather points in that lobby.
2.1.2.2 If you join late, you can join a later lobby on that fixture day, but will not get any points for the lobbies missed.
2.1.3 Players must participate only on mobile phone handheld devices running the Android or the iOS operating systems. Players may not use peripheral devices of any kind without approval of Tournament Officials (including adapters, controllers, Bluetooth keyboards, and mice). Players may not use an emulator to play on a PC or other device that is not a handheld device.
2.1.4 Lobby details will be shared primarily in Discord via Game Admins, and via email. Due to the nature of the lobby set up, BEF strongly recommends all staff leaders to be active and checking Discord for updates on Match Days.
2.1.5 There are four potential maps to play on; Ereangel, Miramar, Zanhok and Vikendi. All other maps are inactive in this competition.
2.1.6 Point system is as below.

2.1.6.1 Ties between two Teams during Official Competitions will be determined in the order of (a) total times of winning the first placement across all Tournament Games in the applicable product; (b) total accumulated placement points across all Tournament Games in the applicable product; (c) total accumulated kills across all Tournament Games in the applicable product; and (d) placement in the most recent match of the Tournament.
2.1.5 GAMEPLAY SETTINGS
2.1.5.1 Game admins will set up the room. Team captains will receive a room code from the admin in order for their team to join.
2.1.5.2 All players should be ready for all three lobbies throughout the fixture period, as each lobby will start straight after the other.
2.1.5.2.1 If a team does not have a full roster, e.g. 3 out of 4, they are still eligible to take part in a lobby.
2.1.5.3 The tournament will consist of 4 weeks of groups.
2.1.5.3.1 Winning team will be determined by the highest number of points.
2.2 Schedule
14th October - 2nd November - Half Term Break
Week 1 - 5th November - Erangel
Week 2 - 12th November - Miramar
Week 3 - 19th November -Sanhok
Week 4 - 26th November - Vikendi
2.3. No Shows
2.3.1. Teams are expected to arrive promptly for a 4pm start time on a Tuesday.
2.3.2. If a team hasn’t joined the lobby 20 minutes after the stated start time and is considered a no show, then they miss the chance to gather points in that lobby.
2.3.2.1 If you join late, you can join a later lobby on that fixture day, but will not get any points for the lobbies missed.
2.4. Submitting results
2.4.1 At the end of the game there will be a table of where individual teams placed and how many kills each team got. Admins will take a screenshot of this and combine all results at the end of the day.
3. Penalties
3.1. Any person found to have engaged in or attempted to engage in any act that British Esports Student Champs believes, in its sole and absolute discretion, constitutes unfair play, will be subject to penalty. The nature and extent of the penalties imposed due to such acts shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of the British Esports Student Champs.
3.2. If any team or player is suspected of breaking any rules, admins should be informed by the Leader. At this point admins may ask for screenshots or other evidence of misconduct.
3.3. Upon discovery of any team member committing any violations of the rules listed above, the British Esports Student Champs may, without limitation issue the following penalties to a team:

Loss of a map pick. In this instance, the opponent is given the map choice.

Issue of a warning on the team’s permanent record.

Forfeit of a match.

Permanent ban of a player.

Deduction of points or seeding for the current or next tournament. Penalties are carried over with the majority of the offending team for the full academic year.

Disqualification of team from a tournament.

Disqualification of team from the British Esports Student Champs.
4. Spirit of the Rules
4.1. These Rules may be amended, modified or supplemented by the British Esports Student Champs, from time to time, in order to ensure fair play and the integrity of the British Esports Student Champs.
4.2. All decisions regarding the interpretation of these rules lie solely with the British Esports Student Champs, the decisions of which are final.
